The Midwifery Model of Care focuses on education and preventative care and we are passionate about providing comprehensive contraception assessment and planning based on your individual needs and situation. 

Some options we can discuss are:

  • Natural Family Planning (cycle charting)
  • Birth Control Pills
  • Injection (Depo-provera)
  • Vaginal ring (Nuva Ring)
  • Diaphragm
  • Implant (Nexplanon)
  • IUD (Paragard, Mirena, Liletta)
  • Tubal Ligation (performed by affiliated surgeons)

So many factors can contribute to this decision, breastfeeding, side effects, finances and more. Our midwives will review the risks and benefits of your options to help you decide what will work best for you now and in the future. Contraception care is often covered at 100% by most insurance companies. You should verify this coverage with your own carrier before making an appointment.
