Melissa ForceHello! My name is Melissa Force and my passion is helping families and individuals prepare for childbirth. I started this journey in 2010 as a DONA certified doula working with teens and eventually landing in a Colorado freestanding birth center in 2011. I began teaching childbirth prep classes in 2012, initially using methods from my Birthing From Within training and then over the years, slowly building my own style of education. In my classes, the focus is on… well, everything. My business is named Holistic Childbirth Education because it is the whole being that needs to prepare for labor and birth. Physical, emotional, mental and spiritual. I make sure I provide a safe space and evidence based information in my classes. No questions are off limits and I try to make every class fun and engaging. I look forward to meeting you and working with you to have the best birthing experience you can have, and hopefully have some fun in the process.

Kristin Conley, IBCLC
Hi, I’m Kristin. I’m a Registered Dietitian and an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant. My early days as a new mom were a humbling roller coaster ride that shaped my career in supporting families on their breastfeeding journey. It’s the sense of community and good humor coupled with top-notch breastfeeding support that make me proud to be part of the Mama ‘hood’s lactation team. Teaching is my passion, and watching families grow and thrive is my reward. When I’m not at the ‘hood, you’ll find me gardening, practicing yoga, watching my kids play their favorite sports and dreaming up our family’s next travel adventure. I’m excited to bring breastfeeding education to the families at Seasons Birth Center!

I fell in love with the special relationship between parents and their babies at the beginning of my nursing career over 25 years ago. Welcoming a new life, a new light, into the world is one of the most miraculous events we can ever experience; one that deserves the utmost respect and awe.
Empowered and supported parents are deeply connected to providing what is best for their babies and helping them gain the knowledge and skills to discover and enhance that connection means the world to me. How we nourish our body, mind and spirit lays the foundation for lifelong well-being. Breastfeeding is one part of that foundation.

Kayla Thorngate, RD, IBCLC
Hi, I’m Kayla! I am a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist, International Board Certified Lactation Consultant, and mother of two. My passion lies in caring for clients as they become parents, teaching them how to nourish themselves and their families, supporting and empowering them throughout their breastfeeding journeys, and helping them find community at a time when life can feel so overwhelming. While life-giving, breastfeeding can be a challenging process, and even more so in isolation. I am honored to be working alongside Seasons Midwifery and Birth Center to serve new parents in the community through their Social Breastfeeding Group! When I’m not working, you can find me enjoying a latte at a craft coffee shop, immersing myself in nature (preferably in the mountains), or building memories with my family. For more information about my services including in-home lactation consultations for mothers and babies who need more individualized attention, please visit my website.
