Courtney Amerin, D.O.

Biography

Dr. Amerin is a born and raised Colorado native. She completed her medical education at Rocky Vista University in Parker Colorado and her residency training at the University of California San Francisco, Fresno. She enjoys creating long term patient care relationships, and has special interests in obstetrics and minimally invasive surgery.

What makes Colorado home to you?

I am a born and raised Colorado native. I love that even in winter you can usually find something to do outside with so many sunny days. I also enjoy exploring new craft breweries and weekend getaways to the mountains.

What are your passions outside of work?

Hiking, traveling, spending time with family/husband.

Why did you become an OB/GYN?

I like that my days are always different, I get to be in the clinic, in the Operating Room, and on Labor & Delivery. I also enjoy taking care of women in all stages of life, guiding them through their teen years, pregnancies, and into menopause.

What in your career are you most proud?

Being able to practice close to my hometown and serve the community I grew up in.

What is the most important part of your job?

Explaining complex medical diagnoses/treatments to patients and making sure they understand all the treatment options available so they can make an informed decision.
