Kristen Garcia, M.D.

Dr. Garcia enjoys getting to know her patients and helping guide them to make informed decisions about their health. Her particular interest is in minimally invasive surgery.

What makes Colorado home to you?

The ability to be out playing the mountains or hiking around a lake in just a few minutes. I enjoy hiking, snowshoeing and skiing.

What are your passions outside of work?

Spending time with my husband and 2 children. Cycling, weight lifting and spending time with friends. When I have extra time, which is rarely, I love knitting, reading, quilting and crochet.

Why did you become an OB/GYN?

I realized during my medical school training how important it is to me to get to know my patients and develop relationships. The beauty of being an OB/Gyn is the ability to care for women from adolescence, through young and middle adulthood (whether that means pregnancies and delivery or contraception) and then on into menopause. I enjoy taking care of women through difficult times as well as the joyful.

What in your career are you most proud?

I’m proud that my training has made me confident in caring for a myriad of conditions – adolescent gyn, higher risk pregnancies, complicated contraception, minimally invasive surgery and many gynecologic office procedures which makes me a well rounded OB/Gyn.

What is the most important part of your job?

It’s truly important that I provide patients with evidence based education and counseling to make informed decisions about their health.

Are you accepting new patients?

Yes
