Prenatal Care

Prenatal Care

Your prenatal visits will be provided by our team of Certified Nurse Midwives, Registered Nurses, Medical Assistants and occasionally students.

Our practice is a part of The Women’s Health Group, a group of physicians, midwives and nurse practitioners in Thornton Colorado. Although we do have physicians in our practice, they do not participate in low-risk birth center care.

In the event your care becomes more complex, we may involve the physicians in our office, or refer you to a perinatologist for more in depth consultation.

We have 4 midwives, 1 RN and 2 MAs that you will meet with at your appointments. You will be spending time getting to know each midwife at your visit, so you will feel comfortable and familiar with whoever is on call at your birth.

We provide ample time reserved for you and your midwife at every appointment. Time to engage you and your family, talk about overall health and provide education around pregnancy and birth.

Updated Clinic Visitor Policy

Due to the rise in COVID-19 cases in Colorado, we are no longer allowing visitors of any age for clinic appointments. We understand that this is an inconvenience and potential child care cost for our clients but the safety of our pregnant clients, newborns and health care providers is our top priority. Birth Center family/support is still allowed for those in labor. Please call for more information.
