Your care - through every season of your life.
Caring for you and your family is our priority. We are here to support you.
Full Spectrum Pregnancy + Birth services
-
We believe that birth is a normal life event. One that should be celebrated!
The way a person gives birth significantly changes their life forever. Knowing this, we believe that the birth experience is as important as the outcome. Healthy parents and babies are always the focus, but how you feel you are treated and seen throughout your care is equally as important.
Our role in your birth is to:
EDUCATE – we have so much knowledge about pregnancy, birth, lactation, and baby care, we want to share it all with you!
GUIDE – There are a lot of choices you face as a pregnant person and a growing family. We believe in Shared decision-making so you feel confident in your decisions.
SUPPORT – this is YOUR birth, not ours. You are the primary decision maker, our role is to respect and support your choices.
SAFETY – Our staff is trained for emergent situations. Our skills and preparation with local EMS and hospital staff are here as your safety net, so you can focus on your birth and your baby.
-
Prenatal Care: Your prenatal visits will be provided by our team of Midwives & Birth Assistants.
We have 4 midwives, and rotating birth assistants that you will meet with at your appointments. You will be spending time getting to know each midwife at your visit, so you will feel comfortable and familiar with whoever is on call at your birth.
Our warm welcoming Front Desk specialists are an essential part of our team and your care, they are happy to answer any questions or concerns you have at your appointments.
We provide ample time reserved for you and your midwife at every appointment. Time to engage you and your family, talk about overall health and provide education about pregnancy and birth.

Water Birth: Birthing in water can ease the baby’s transition into the world. While in the womb, babies are surrounded by an amniotic fluid sac for nine months, so being born in a similar setting such as water can be a gentler process.
Benefits of Water Births
People may choose to have water births due to the many benefits to the pregnant individual and baby. When babies are born through water births, they can feel a sense of security and reassurance in a more familiar environment.
Here are some water birth benefits for pregnant individuals:
Eased pain from labor and contractions
Increased sense of privacy
Enhanced comfort during labor and delivery
Boosted mobility and positioning through buoyancy
Heightened natural birth experience

Midwifery care
The Midwives Model of Care™ is a fundamentally different approach to pregnancy and childbirth than contemporary obstetrics. Midwifery care is uniquely nurturing, hands-on care before, during, and after birth. Midwives are health care professionals specializing in pregnancy and childbirth who develop a trusting relationship with their clients, which results in confident, supported labor and birth. While there are different types of midwives practicing in various settings, all midwives are trained to provide comprehensive prenatal care and education, guide labor and birth, address complications, and care for newborns. The Midwives Model of Care™ is based on the fact that pregnancy and birth are normal life events.
MANA, 2023
Midwife Birthing Centers
When you have a midwife, you have a greater range of options for giving birth wherever you’re most comfortable.
Free-standing birth centers are healthcare facilities designed to provide care to pregnant people who want a choice between a home or hospital birth. Midwife birthing centers focus on providing individualized care for each client throughout their pregnancy.
Birth centers respect a person’s right to make informed choices about their health care based on their own beliefs and values. We believe that respecting and empowering folks through their pregnancy helps them receive more satisfaction and make lifestyle choices that positively impact their well-being. We provide the support, education and nurturing each person needs to help them feel safe and secure in their health care.
Professionals Work at Birth Centers
When you go to a birth center for health care, you’re working with the best professionals. All midwives have licenses from the state they work in and have specialized training in midwifery.
At Seasons Birth Center, we are in-network with most major insurance companies, and we accept Medicaid.

Newborn Care
-
Birth is a normal life process that results in bringing new life to the world. Knowing how to take care of a newborn baby properly requires patience and continuous learning.
Having a solid support system can help ensure you are as prepared as possible when it’s time to transition into parenthood. At Seasons Birth Center, we can help.
-
The first few weeks after birth are vital to ensure a newborn is developing correctly. A newborn is any baby four weeks old or younger. During this time, it’s essential to:
Establish feeding patterns.
Nurture parent and infant bonding.
Watch for any infections, birth or congenital deficiencies, or other health issues.
Learning how to take care of a newborn during the prenatal period can help make the transition easier once parents bring their newborn home, as well as to notice the signs of anything abnormal.
-
Midwives provide labor and birth care, we also provide care for you and your baby after birth. Afer the birth of your baby we provide essential assessments needed for the baby’s first couple weeks, including:
Complete physical exam at birth before discharge.
2-day visit to provide a physical exam, weight check and evaluate feeding.
Colorado Newborn Screen Test (PKU) for possible metabolic disorders.
Critical congenital heart disease screening.
Bilirubin check for jaundice.
Hearing test.
8-day visit for another physical exam, weight check and feeding evaluation.
24-hour tele-visit options to discuss and answer any questions.
At 10 days old, we then refer your newborn to the pediatric care provider of your choice with all records and test results. Our newborn care services prepare you for parenthood once you leave our center.
Postpartum Care
-
The care you receive after the birth of your baby can be, (in some cases) even more important than prenatal care.
This is a critical time for both the parent and the infant. We believe that close supervision during the first few weeks keeps everyone healthy, and prevents poor outcomes.
We provide postpartum visits that are part of your care.
-
What is self-care once you have a baby? - that’s a great question and it looks different for everyone.
We encourage you to rest in bed and take it easy for the first few weeks postpartum. Postpartum doula or family/friend support that can help with household chores, cooking, and errands with be essential in your postpartum recovery. Remember, postpartum is forever. We’re here to help your transition go as smoothly as possible.
-
This isn’t really goodbye, we will see you for the next 6 weeks to make sure you’re healing well. We’re also here for all your well-person annual exam needs. We can continue to care for you in all the seasons of your life.

-
The midwives at Seasons can offer a wide range of contraceptive options to our clients.
The Midwifery Model of Care focuses on education and preventative care and we are passionate about providing comprehensive contraception assessment and planning based on your individual needs and situation.
